How does Pre-order work?
Our shoes are sold on a pre-order only basis. This means the shop is open for for a certain timeframe and closes on a specific date. Once the shop is closed, you can no longer place an order and all existing orders will be go into production.
The shop will open again at a later date for another round of orders.
How long does it take to receive my order?
Orders may take up to 2 weeks (14 days) before being shipped out. Once your order has shipped it generally takes 3 business days (common) up to 7 business days (rare) for your order to reach you in the U.S.A.
Do you accept returns / exchanges?
We do not accept exchanges and generally do not accept returns as our shoes are made during specific time frames. We understand that return issues are unique, so if you have an issue please contact us so we can determine the best option for creating a return if applicable. It's very important to know what size you wear, so please contact us with any questions so we can guarantee that the shoes will fit you as designed. We will not accept returns on sizing issues if you did not consult with us before placing your order.
Do to the unique nature, custom shoes are not elegible for returns.
Can I cancel my order?
Yes, you may cancel your order up until the pre-order closes. Exact times and information will be sent via email after you place an order.
Sizing & FIT:
Shoes generally fit true to size. Our shoes are designed to fit a little snug. Shoes may be slightly tight when new. This is normal as the soft suede uppers will stretch and mould to your foot, creating a custom fit. Half sizes please order next size up. You can wear the shoes with or without the insole that's included.

How do Höss shoes fit?
Höss shoes are designed to fit snug and mould to your foot with wear over time. Often shoes will fit tight when you first receive them. We recommend a thumbs width gap between the end of your large toe and the end of the shoe.
Do you make custom shoes?
As of right now we do not offer custom orders.We DO offer the option of 2 different sizes at no additional cost. i.e. If one foot is larger than the other we can make 2 different sizes for one pair. Contact us after placing your order to let us know if you would like this option.
Do you make wide or narrow sizes?
Currently we offer standard width and wide width. Wide width is not a barefoot option and should only be ordered if you have wide feet. i.e. wide heel, mid foot, forefoot.
Is it normal to see the outline of my foot in your shoes?
Since our shoes are made with soft and supple leathers it is normal for the shoe to take shape to your foot for some people. This allows for the shoe to become the shape of your foot allowing for comfort and a more natural fit/experience, rather than your foot taking the shape of the shoe like in shoes with liners, heel cups, and shaped toe boxes.
How long will a pair of Höss shoes last?
Höss shoes will wear differently person to person. Our shoes are minimal and designed as a lifestyle shoe. Although we've hiked, biked, worked, and ran in our shoes, we recommend taking it easy as they are handmade. We do not have the machines or adhesives used in a large shoe factories and your shoes will eventually need to be replaced. We design and price our shoes at a point in which you can replace your Höss shoes seasonally throughout the year. We've had our shoes last anywhere from 3 months to 1+years with daily wear. If you are hard on your shoes or find yourself wearing through shoes quickly, dragging your toes/heels, etc. please understand that Höss shoes may not last as long in those conditions.
How do I clean my Höss shoes?
Use a suede brush to clean off dirt. Then you can use a slightly damp cloth and lightly rub the dirty spots. After doing so, go over the newly cleaned spot again with a suede brush to restore the nap of the suede. For tough stains it is best to gather information from a leather professional. It is recommended to spray your shoes with a suede/leather protector. For recommendations please contact us.
Will the shoes color rub onto my feet/socks?
Not often does it occur but sometimes our darker colors will rub off onto your foot or sock. This will decrease with wear of the shoes. Generally items that become stained may be cleaned easily although it is recommended to wear similar or darker colors with colors that may stain or rub off for the first few wears.
What do I do if my product arrives damaged?
Please contact us if your item(s) arrive damaged. Pictures of the damage may be requested. We look over all of our products before we ship them out in order to ensure everything is up to our standards. Please note that leather is a natural product and although we try our hardest to use the best parts of the hide; scratches, blemishes, and inconsistencies in the nap of the leather may differ or occur. These are NOT considered damages to the product.
Do you ship internationally?
Currently we only ship within the U.S.A. and soon to Canada.
Do you offer expedited shipping?
Yes, please contact us no less than 1 month before the date you need your order. Please take into consideration our pre-order windows as we can only work within certain time frames. Simply contact us and we will happily help you out.
Where are Höss shoes manufactured?
Our shoes are designed and handmade in the southwest of the U.S.A. using materials and components all made and sourced within the U.S.A.
What are your ethics and sustainability practices?
We strive to create with minimal waste, this is why we operate strictly on a pre-order only model. This allows us to manufacture the exact amount of orders placed without overproducing. In addition, we try our best to use the most eco friendly materials we can find. We pay our employees a minimum of $15/hr.
